Yesterday Gillian tried her first food, that actually tasted like something other then paste. We started her out with pears, and we will keep her on them for a few more days, just to make sure she is ok with them. I think peas are up next. Here is a short video of her eating the pears, and I would like to say this is some of the funniest things I have ever seen her do :)

I got some pictures too of some of her faces.

It is hard to tell if she liked them or not, but she kept opening her mouth for more. I guess this is the first big taste she has ever tried, and it is a bit of a shock. Sure when she sees us eat, she wants some, but I bet she wouldn't like what we eat very much :)
Gillian is a pro now at sitting up and rolling over from her back to her stomach. Problem is, she forgot how to roll back over on to her stomach and gets mad. She woke up around 10 on Friday night screaming because she rolled over and could not get back. Heather and I felt so bad for her. She never wakes up that way. Guess she will learn.
We had her 6 month check up on Thurs, 18 lbs 13 oz, and 25 inches tall. Doc said she was doing great and at her 9 month check up she should be a lot taller and slimmer.
Guess that is all for now, I was going to write something but it completely slipped my mind...if I think about it, I will post later.

Ahh, yes, the new food testing. Funny faces, then an open mouth for more is the norm. She will turn and push away the spoon if she finds it nasty.

And, BTW, they still do this at 10 years old with new food. :-)

These are fun times!! I remember them well... times two. lol I would turn my nose up at the stuff, too... it tastes nasty, but I know they can't have a lot of spice yet. ha! Glad she is doing so well! Wesley and Mikayla were right at a year old before they made her weight at 6 months. They were (and still are) little guys. Glad she is doing so WONDERFUL!!
