Crohn's & Colitis Foundation "Take Steps" 2009

Hi all! Just wanted to let you know that it's time for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation (CCFA) "Take Steps" walk! It will be in the Raleigh area on Saturday, June 6th. We have created a team (Team Casey) and plan to walk again this year. Most of you know that Casey was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in the fall of 1999. Since then, it has pretty much been a roller coaster ride for us...lots of ups and downs! Casey has had 2 surgeries and lots of different medications, but is experiencing an "up" now. He has been able to control his Crohn's with medication and diet, and we are hopeful that this continues. We have definitely learned that you "never know" with this disease, so while Casey is healthy right now, we find it very important to continue to raise awareness and support for the CCFA.

As I mentioned, the walk will be held on Saturday, June 6th. It will be at Lake Crabtree County Park from 4-8pm. If you are local, we would love to have you join our team! If not local, and would like to support us, please consider making a small donation. We have received much support from our friends and family, and we really appreciate it!
