Wow! It's been awhile since we've done a regular post. At least Casey does his daily photos, so you can see Gillie that way some days!

It feels like fall has finally arrived to North Carolina. It has been quite chilly the past week. We went from 90 degrees with the air on, to barely 50 degrees in the course of a week! It was also pretty rainy this past week. Yesterday and today were nice, though. Last night, we took Gillie to her first high school football game. We were really there to watch our neighbor, Catherine ("Caffy" in Gillie-speak)in the marching band. Gillie did well, especially considering the game started after her bed time! We stayed through half-time, and the band did a very nice job. Today we took Gillie to a little farm in the area. It had animals (donkeys, chickens, bunnies, goats), a little corn maze, hayrides and some little games. It was nice, and Gillie enjoyed running around. She really loved the animals, and would just stand there and watch them (you couldn't touch the animals, although they did have donkey rides. We figured we'd hold off on that since she can get free horse rides at Grandpa's!). We also picked out a pumpkin for Gillie, and will paint it tomorrow morning. Gillie picked out a few gourds as well. The gourds she picked were bumpy, and she kept calling them "corn" and trying to eat them! It was a very nice fall morning, and we enjoyed our family time!
