Day Three

So today's assignment was this:

Photographer of the Year Assignment #3

The Creative Documentary

Chronicle a day in the life of a job where you live. It can be any job: wait staff, physician, mailperson, airline pilot, dog groomer, pool hustler...any job. Provide an inside look and deeper understanding of what the job and the person performing it are really like. Note: office jobs are not permitted.
Upload up to 5 images by 8:00 a.m., ET, Thursday, July 19.

OK, so not the easiest thing to do, but even harder when you are traveling from NC to NY on the day this is due. So I had thought about shadowing my dad at his job once we got to NY. They were unable to do this on short notice, ok no big deal, did not expect to be able to go in there with a camera anyways. So I made the best of it and figured I could take some pics of Heather driving and having her job be driving and other stuff to NY. Here is what I got. (click for larger pics)

The Driver

The Dog Walker

The Gas Filler-upper

and The Navigator

As you can kind of tell by looking at these, they were not planned at all like my other ones. I am ok with these, but I think if I was home I would have done a lot better. O well, this is my first contest and I am glad I did not just give up on this assignment just because I was not at home. I learned a lot these last couple of days, and can't wait to do it again next year.
Off to bed, (13 hours in a car is very tiring)

Hopefully I will put some pics up of our trip later on next week.

Geez Furg. What did you do the whole trip besides take pictures? Poor wife...she must be tired of driving all that way and filling up the tank and walking the dog and you snapping a picture in her face every five seconds thinking "OMG I'd rip that thing off his face and chuck it out the window if only the dog wouldn't go chasing after it!"
