This will probably be the last post until Monday. Heather, Gillian and I are going to Washington DC this afternoon to see Heather's brother. Heather's Mom and David will be coming down from NY also. Everyone is meeting up there because this weekend is the last stop for the Run For the Fallen, (link on the right.)
I am really excited to go to DC, I have never spent anytime in the capital. I hope to get out for a few hours on Saturday to take some pictures and see some sights. There is one place I really want to go, but I will tell you about that next week.

So let's see what happened this week.....On Sunday Heather went to a baby shower and I was home for a few hours with Gillian....she was not in a good mood for most of the time. She is getting teeth and I really think they were bothering her. It really bothers me that I can not console her when she is like that, makes me feel like a bad parent. I know this is normal and it happens to everyone, just I don't deal with it very well. Just something I have to get over, since I am sure it is not the last time it will happen. So after Gillian was like that on Sunday, we thought she might have a cold or something and Heather took her to the Doctors on Monday. She was fine, nothing wrong. Doctor said it was probably teething. Course after Monday she has been an angle :) Gillian turned 7 months old yesterday. We can't believe it has been 7 months. It is amazing how much she has changed. She is really, really trying to crawl. She gets up on her knees and starts rocking. Not long now.... We also ordered Gillian a big girl car seat. The Britax Roundabout. Yes it was a little expensive, but it has the top rating of all the major brands, and you really can't put a price on safety.

So I guess I can announce this now, since it is pretty much official...Heather has accepted a new job with Wake County Preschool Services as a Speech Pathologist. She starts on September 15th. The hours and time off are really the big thing that attracted Heather to the schools. She will get the month of July off and all the school holiday's and vacation. This will let her be at home with Gillie much more.
I also have some news....I have accepted a part time position at Circuit City in Apex at Beaver Creek. I hope to only be working 15-20 hours a week, just to try and catch up from some medical bills and start saving again...someone should have told us babies were expensive... ;) So I should be starting up next week, working in the camera, gaming, and computer section. Hey at least I like all of those things. :) Just have to make sure I don't accidentally buy one of these.... :P
Even thought this is just a part time job, this will be the first time in 10 years I have worked anyplace other than CAT. That is a little scary to me...just a little, but not much. Plus I have never worked retail.... I will miss the time I have with Heather and Gillian, but as I told Heather I would rather do this now and not when Gillian is a little older. She has no concept of time right now, so it will not be as big of a deal to her as it will be to me. So if you are around CC in apex, look me up :)

Alright I think that is all I wanted to say, so on to some pictures. Have a great weekend, and I will write next week. I will prob update Twitter so be sure to check back to see if we are doing anything in DC.

Forgot to tell about this picture. This my cat Tarryn and was trying to get a picture of her tongue, did you think that they looked like that? Make sure you click on it and go to the larger picture.

Our congratulations to Heather. That is great news.

As for the car seat, I know what you are saying, Morgan & I did the same, but like I said earlier, the prices on baby items seems to have doubled since Cassie was that age.

Also, the cynic in me thinks they are high because of "mommy / daddy" guilt.
