Hi there! It's Heather posting tonight. There's not a whole lot new to report. The weekend seemed to fly by, as it usually does. We did some Christmas shopping and grocery shopping, a little cleaning around the house, some laundry and spent some time with friends. So, it was a nice weekend, but it just wasn't long enough! They never are, though!

About a week ago, Casey broke the music part of Gillian's mobile. It was really time for us to take it down anyway, as she is pulling up in the crib now, and we wouldn't want her to grab it. We bought a different musical crib toy that attaches to the side of the crib. It looks like an aquarium, and plays nature sounds or classical music. We're not sure if Gillie is a little afraid of the new toy, or if she just really misses the animal friends from her mobile, but bed and nap times have been rough this weekend! She screams when we walk out her bedroom door, which is very unlike her. I guess she could be going through a phase where she doesn't want us to leave her. She did do something like that once before. We gave her a "lovey" and she was fine. That doesn't seem to be doing the trick this time, though. Hopefully we will get it worked out. Gillie has always been so easy with nap time and bed time. Usually we just put her in the crib, give her the "lovey", kiss her good-night and walk out. We don't usually hear a peep out of her. So, it's very stressful when she gets so worked up like she has done this weekend.

Other than that, Gillie is doing great. She continues to crawl all over the place, and pulls up onto her knees. She is babbling away, and we love to listen to her talk. She has said "da" for awhile now, and uses it a lot in her babbling, but she is saying "dada" when looking at Casey. I've been telling him it's just coincidence, but he walked in the room yesterday, and she looked directly at him and said "dada." So, maybe he's right!

Well, here are a few pictures for you. This one is of me and Gillie...we both had green shirts on yesterday.

Here is Gillie in "jail" as Casey says. She pulls up to her knees on the gate, and shakes it.

Well, that's all from me. I have to go finish the laundry now. Hope that you all had a great weekend!

You never know why they begin acting strangely. It always seems when I get the kiddos all figured out they change again. lol Hopefully this is just a "bump in the road" and she'll be back to normal sleeping patterns soon. :)

Those pictures are too cute. I really like the first one of Heather and Gillian. :)
